Thank you for your interest in the 2025 edition of the entry-level Technician license exam preparation course produced by members of the NNY Section, the Tryon Amateur Radio Club (K2JJI), the Schoharie County Amateur Radio Association & The Cedar Grove Amateur Radio Club (WW2G). We cover 10 counties in upstate NY and have decades of ham radio experience between us. Walk-ins for testing are welcome.
Our 2 day class will prepare you for the FCC Amateur Technician Class exam. Students will need to purchase the Ham Radio License Manual (5th Edition) available from the ARRL. Students will need to read, and become familiar with, Chapters 1 through 5, as this will make up the majority of Saturday's topics of discussion. Free companion videos by Dave Casler available on Youtube may also be of value and assistance. VE testing session will occur after the class on Sunday.
